The UB Women’s Connection was an exclusive opportunity for women who entered UB as first-time freshman in the Fall of 2004. These women provided information regarding their entrance into college and their experiences at UB. All of these data are strictly confidential. The first part of the study consisted of an online survey during the Fall 2004 semester. Women who completed the brief web survey that fall will have the opportunity to complete another survey each Fall over the next three years.

Along with the Fall web survey, there was an additional Spring component with a smaller number of women. Two hundred women who participated in the Fall 2004 web survey were selected to participate in the daily phone reports for 8 weeks during the Spring of 2005, and then again each spring for the next three years.

Currently, the UB Women’s Connection is in its fourth year of data collection. We will continue data collection for one more year, concluding the Fall component during November 2008, and the Spring component in April 2009, after the majority of our original sample of first-time college freshman have graduated.
